Tarn Et Garonne Zip code
Tarn-et-Garonne is a region of France in the south-west. It is traversed by the rivers Tarn and Garonne, from which it takes its name. This area used to be part of the old provinces of Quercy and Languedoc. With land taken from other departments like Lot and Haute-Garonne, Napoleon made the department in 1808. It was named after him. Most of the land in the department is farmland, but there are some hills to the south, east, and north. The department is mostly rural. In this part of France, the departmental prefecture is Montauban, and some of the bigger cities are Castelsarrasin, Molieres, Caussade, Valence-d'Agen, the mediaeval town of Lauzerte, and Molieres. In 2016, it had 256,897 people.
