Charentsavan Postal code

Charentsavan is a town and urban municipal community in the province of Kotayk in Armenia, and it is called that. In 1947, it was called Lusavan, but in 1967, it was changed to Yeghishe Charents after the poet. Since the census in 2011, Charentsavan has 20,363 people living there. Currently, there are about 18,500 people living in the town, based on official estimates from 2016. After Yeghishe Charents, an Armenian poet, the town was renamed Charentsavan in 1967. Lusavan was the name of the town until 1967, when it was changed to Charentsavan. Charentsavan is made up of two words: Charents and avan, which means "town of Charents."
