Bali is a province of Indonesia and the westernmost island of the Lesser Sunda Islands, which is why it is called that. East of Java and west of Lombok, the province includes the island of Bali and a few smaller islands that are close by. These are Nusa Penida, Nusa Lembongan, and Nusa Ceningan. Denpasar, the capital of the Lesser Sunda Islands, is the second-largest city in Eastern Indonesia, after Makassar. It is also the most populated city in the area. Ubud, a small town in the hills of Greater Denpasar, is thought to be the cultural centre of Bali. A lot of people have been coming to Indonesia to visit the province since the 1980s, when there was a big rise in tourism. 80 percent of its business comes from tourism. Bali is the only Hindu-majority province in Indonesia, which is mostly Muslim. 86.9% of the people there follow Balinese Hinduism. A lot of people love it because it has a lot of different kinds of art that are very good. This includes traditional dances that are very old and modern dances that are very modern. It happens every year in Bali, Indonesia, to show movies from all over the world. Miss World 2013 and the annual meetings of the IMF and WBG took place in Bali, as did the Miss World 2013 pageant. In March 2017, TripAdvisor named Bali the best place in the world to visit in its Traveller's Choice award. It also won the same award in January of that year. Bali is in the Coral Triangle, which is the area with the most species of fish and turtles. Many reef-building coral species are found in this area alone. When you compare it to the whole Caribbean, this is about seven times more people than there are. Subak is a water system that is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It is found on the island of Bali. It is also home to a group of kingdoms made up of 10 traditional royal Balinese houses, each house in charge of a different part of the country. People in the confederation are the same people who used to be in the Bali Kingdom. The government of Indonesia doesn't recognise the royal houses, but they were around before the Dutch came to Indonesia.
