Gorontalo Postal code
Gorontalo is a province of Indonesia on the island of Sulawesi. Gorontalo, which is on the Minahasa Peninsula, used to be part of the province of North Sulawesi. On December 5, 2000, it became its own province. Only in Indonesian history has there been an Indonesian President from the Gorontaloan people. That person is the third President of the Republic of Indonesia, Bacharuddin Jusuf Habibie. When Alwi Abdul Jalil Habibie was a child, his father was from the "Habibie" clan. People who live in Gorontalo City (also called Hulontalo City) call it "Porch of Medina." It is the provincial capital, the main gateway, and the city with the most people (Indonesian: Serambi Madina). This is because the kingdoms of Gorontalo have used Islamic law as a foundation for implementing the law, both in government, society, and the courts. This is why this is the case. People lived in the province in 2010 and 2020. It had a population of 1,040,164 at the 2010 Census and 1,171,681 at the 2020 Census. There were 104.08 people per km2.
