Ube, Shnan, and Iwakuni are some of the other big cities there, as well. At the western end of Honshu, Yamaguchi Prefecture has coastlines on the Sea of Japan and Seto Inland Sea. It is separated from the island of Kyushu by the Kanmon Straits, which separate them.
