In 2011, the Afghanistan government introduced New Postal Codes/ ZIP codes service. The Afghan Post is managed this postal system and its headquarters is situated in Kabul city. Afghanistan postal codes are four numeric digits for each district. These postal codes first two digits represent the province, and the last two digits represent either the city/delivery zone. Afgan Post provides postal collecting and delivery services via 467 post offices.
