Postal Code Cyprus

Cyprus implemented four-digit postal codes on 1 October 1994. The system is organised around the island's six administrative districts, each of which is assigned a numerical range. Although the majority of four-digit numbers are assigned to local geographic regions such as streets, urban communes, and villages, some are kept for government usage.

District of Nicosia: between 1000 and 2999
District of Limassol: between 3000 and 4999
District of Famagusta: 5000 to 5999
District of Larnaca: between 6000 and 7999
District of Paphos: 8000 to 8999
District of Kyrenia: from 9000 to 9999

Due to Cyprus's partition, this post code system is used by just the (internationally recognised) Republic of Cyprus. Mail destined to Turkish-controlled Northern Cyprus must be forwarded via Mersin 10, TURKEY in southern Turkey. However, northern Cyprus established five-digit postcodes in 2013[1] in a format identical to that of Turkey, with the first two digits 99 and the final three signifying the location.

The two British Sovereign Base Regions (or SBAs) of Akrotiri and Dhekelia are not part of the Republic of Cyprus, despite the fact that the Cypriot communities located inside these areas utilise the Cyprus postal system. British military organisations and personnel are assigned British Forces Post Office (BFPO) numbers, 57 for Akrotiri and 58 for Dhekelia.
