Uzbekistan Postal code



 October 28, 2005 new postal codes of the Republic of Uzbekistan were introduced.

 

The new postal code consists of six characters and looks as follows for the regions of the Republic of Uzbekistan:

- the  first two digits of the index indicate the conditional code of the regional center or the territory of the region;

- the  third and fourth digits of the index indicate the conditional code of the district center, the territory of the district or the city of regional subordination;

- the  fifth and sixth digits of the index indicate the conditional code of the post office (post office).

For example: the index 120216 means
12 - Syrdarya region
02 - Bayaut region 16 - post office serving the settlement of Usmanabad.

The new postal code for the city of Tashkent has its own peculiarity, in contrast to the regions of the republic. The postal code of the city of Tashkent is as follows:

- the  first three digits of the index indicate the conditional code of the city of Tashkent;

- the  second three digits of the index indicate the number of the post office of the city of Tashkent.

For example: index 100123 means
100 - Tashkent city
123 - post office
